We arrived in Losone in Switzerland to some pretty awful weather. Torrential rain all day Monday which continued into the night meant that our practice was halted. The course and practice facilities were closed and we couldn't even walk the course due to the amount of water that had fallen out the sky. We were eventually allowed to hit some balls on the range in the afternoon, but it was unclear as to whether we would get on the course before the tournament started on Thursday.
Thankfully the sun came out on Wednesday which revealed the true beauty of the place, and we were given the opportunity to play just 9 holes in the evening after the Pro-Am. The most beautiful setting for a golf course I had ever seen; with a back drop of the Swiss Alps it was hard to believe it was all real.
Neil and I made some positive improvements on the range and I attempted to take it out on the course. Most of the time it was working well, but a couple of visits to the water and 2 three putts meant that I had my work cut out to make it to the weekend.
Friday's round had a lot of good shots and I made a handful of birdies, unfortunately the mistakes were still there. It was extremely frustrating as I knew my game suited the course really well, but when the swing isn't right this game is soo hard!
Another cut missed gave me the opportunity to work hard on my game in preparation for Prague. I couldn't have asked for a better place to practice: beautiful weather and great facilities, we really were being spoilt. Onwards and upwards.
